Istria is the largest Croatian peninsula and is located on the northern part of the Croatian Adriatic coast. It is known for its art of living since the main products of the region are olive oil, wine and truffles! The climate is a pleasant mediterranean one with mild winters and warm summers. The town of Vodnjan is located at its southern tip near the town of Pula (10km away). According to a legend it was founded from a group of seven villas which were a part of Pula’s colonial property.

The village is located in an area of old traditions, built on the traces of prehistoric buildings. The center of the town maintains its medieval look with tight streets swerving between houses with stone facades, old streets in the characteristic Gothic-Venetian, Renaissance and Baroque styles, as well as numerous churches filled with memories and art works.

The town of Pula, approximately 10km away from Vodnjan, is known for its amphitheater which was constructed in 27 BC – 68 AD and is among the six largest surviving Roman arenas in the World.
